Whats Workin' Wednesday - Podcast by MyTaughtYou

My latest obsession is Podcasts. This is like the most untapped resource! As useful as I have found Podcasts, not enough people are hip to them. I listen while I drive, at work, at the gym, etc. It’s so easy to take in some valuable information on the go.

I listen to so many different Podcasts that serve many purposes, from entertainment, inspiration, education, entrepreneurship, etc.  There’s literally a Podcast about anything you can think of.

Today, I want to share this Podcast with y’all from Myleik Teele of the MyTaughtYou Podcast. This is one of my FAVORITE Podcasts! Myleik Teele is the founder/CEO of CurlBox. You can read her bio here. She is so inspiring! Her Podcast is kind of random but full of gems.

The MyTaughtYou Podcast is full of life tips, entrepreneurial advice; she’s like that successful big sister that made all the mistakes, and is advising you so you don’t have to make them.

The latest Podcast is titled Negotiation & Finances. This was a gem for me. If you read my #GOALS-Quarter 2 post you know I have set financial goals that I want to achieve. So I have been scouring the web for resources on how to change your money mindset and master money. This Podcast was RIGHT on time for me. Not because she is telling us exactly how to manage our money, but for the random points that really hit home for me. She does give some great advice about financial decisions and just telling about her personal financial journey is helpful.

There was one point that stuck with me and I will definitely apply it in my own life.

“The if you can’t buy 2 rule. If you can’t buy 2 you can’t afford it

Listen!!!! This spoke to me, I have been wanting to buy a bag. An expensive bag, that I definitely see as an investment because I will have it forever. However, I don’t NEED it right now. I’m good for making impulse buys. That is something I am definitely working on. So having to save for 2 of these bags will help the purchase be less traumatic and will force me to REALLY want it and not purchase on pure impulse.
